End of July Evaluation

Well....PRIDE IS AWESOME!!! We've made awesome progress this month, I'm really excited. My baby boy and I are actually both starting to bond, become a team, and getting emotionally fitter every day. I'm learning to read him, to see every little emotion that goes through him and I think and experiment how to get rid of anything negative or handicapping our relationship. Well....here it goes:)!

July Goals

1) Maybe have Pride doing flying lead changes in Circle Game - We'v worked on it some and are making amazing progress! We've probably made 5 flying changes this month. I can't believe what I'm uncovering as I continue to play with him, he getting more and more collected, knowing were his feet are and getting more athletic. So am I.

2) Pound posts for pasture. ACCOMPLISHED 

3) Have Pride slowing from a lope to a trot to a walk and back up to a lope and down. Check. He's getting more balance, he's not so heavy on the forehand. He's very responsive, maintains gaits. Although, we'll have to work on loping, it seems a little flat to me. 

4) Have Pride doing sliding stops. We are working on it. He's learning how to stop on a dime, we just need to throw that wait back a little more.

5) Try making Prides roll backs medium fast. CHECK! ;) Told you we were making progress.

6) Maybe order horse barn. CHECK! Got it yesterday morning. It's beautiful!!! The horses LOVE it!

7) Figure out saddle and theraflex pad! (Grr) Not yet, doing that tomorrow, but technically that is the 1st of August. Soooo, yah.

BEAUTIFUL progress! I'll wright my August Goals tomorrow. For now me and Pride will continue kicking butt! Lol ;)
