Pride's Back Evaluation

(Here is the email I recieved regarding Prides back being a little weak)

Hi, Kaylee

Thanks for taking the time and care to send your photos of your treasured horse.
We would say that he looks to have some muscle wastage along his topline and a bit of a sag in the belly...indicating that he could benefit from some exercises that would strengthen that "bow string" along the top so that he can carry you with more tautness, power and strength.
If you do some "Hill Therapy" with him, you don't necessarily need hills...you can do a lot with cavaletti...especially good if you put them on the "taller" setting...and don't spread them too far apart...send him over at a slow trot, so that he has to reach, stretch, pull his knees higher, tighten his belly, push his back up. Release him to rest when he really stretches out forward and down with his head/neck and you see that back come up with his belly tucked...don't do too much at first...read Linda's article and you'll get the idea.
All the natural best to you both.
