Track, Basketball and Horses

We had our first track meet yesterday at Firth, Idaho. I was so nervous I felt sick. The way our coach worked us, I felt like I was training for the Olympics. I was suppost to run the 400 leg of the medly, but I was terrified, on the bus ride there I talked Hannah into doing it for me this first track meet, just so I could see what it was like. We dominated the medly, the second place team was 7 seconds behind us. It was an amazing day!!! My 200 time for the medly was 32 seconds. It was nothing like I expected, it was easy, fun, and relaxing. I won discus with a throw of 61' (I didn't even spin!). Isn't it awsome when you over hear people talking about you or your team? When we first got there we were warming up and we heard the coach of Snake River talking to its team, "Challis has an amazing team, watch out for them." I love it :)!! While I was throwing discus, there was a line of people watching, because the boys where throwing at the same time. I threw my first one, then I heard someone whisper, "wow, she's good." :) In other words, I had an amazing day! My open 200 race, I ran in 30 seconds flat, but they messed my time up. Abby and I should have got first and second, except they messed my time up, by putting me the with the longest time of my heat, when I beat them I beat them all by about 10 seconds. That was a bummer. The Triple Jump was my last event, and I won fourth with a length of 24" 11 1/4'. The first place winner had a length of 28" something, and the second place winner did also, and the third had a length of 25" flat. I'll have to reach out only 5 more inches next track meet, I can do that!
We got home at 10:30 last night, and mom made an anouncement that sent excitement tumbling through my body. The Mackey coach wants me to play basketball with their team this weekend! I'm so excited!! Its amazing! The horses are doing perfect, and life seems to be just awsome!!!!
I'll post more later!
