Not Again... The Horse Show Fever

Every year I get pumped up for the horse shows, then when we have our first 4-H horse meeting at the rodeo grounds everything seems to start tipping down again. I start feeling discouraged because Pride isn't as far as I thought. I've decided to specialize in Reining with him, we have worked and sweated in preparation, but I feel lost. Like I'm out of my element, I feel like I need someone as a mentor to guide me through the process. Honestly, I think I'm starting to annoy my horse with all my petty things. Like keeping his head down, etc. I just need help. I can't seem to brake through a wall we've come to, this wall has been blocking our path for a couple months and I can't seem to brake through. I'm not sure how to teach Pride reining, and I would love some help. There aren't any good reiners here in Challis, its a pity. We don't have enough money to attend clinics hours away, and their isn't anyone here. Does anyone know anyone or any websites about reining?
:) I like the challenge of a new thing, but I want to know how to do it right and not annoying to my horse. If its annoying him then I extremely doubt I'm doing it right.
Thanks everyone for your help!!!!!
Kaylee
