The State Fair went amazing, 16 counties go to the Eastern Idaho State Fair. It showed me just how far Pride and I have come and how much we trust and depend on eachother! Pride and I won 1st (can you believe it?! Out of 16 competitors!) in Halter/Showmanship!!! I was completely shocked, I didn't think Pride and I were going to place any higher than a 3rd because he was either looking trying to sleep with a hind foot cocked (your horse has to stand square, no resting aload), trying to go potty (for some reason in showmanship you get lots of points docked if your horse pee's in the ring, personally, I think its a little stupid), and he wasn't squaring up like he had at home. Our pattern was great, he was perfect, and for some reason he even squared up perfectly for the judge. I saw alot of things that I could have improved, so I don't forget them I've made a list to work on before the next show season:
My SHOWMANSHIP List:
*Always glance back at the judge whenever your walking/trotting away
*Work with Pride to get him to square up more even
*Work on our Push and Pull turns -keeping his inside hind foot planted
*Work on backing straight, faster
Bareback went amazing as well! They had split the ring in half with portable panels so they could have two rings going at one time. They had actually called my name for the bareback class while I was in showmanship, but they realized some of the bareback competitors were in the ring showing so they waited. I had no time to play or warm Pride up, it was the first time I had got on him that day, we only had enough time to be hustled into the ring. He was amazing! There was so many scary things, but he didn't even notice, he did everything absolutly right! :) As for me... I'm a little wobbly bareback, that is definantly something I need to work on!!! We took 2nd out of 20 competitors, I was so proud of my boy! He never ceases to amaze me!
My BAREBACK List:
*Sit straighter, practice alot more to get balance!
*Pride's transitions were a little sticky, work more with that!
*Work on control, slowing his trot down more.
Equitation went great too, Pride was tired, so was I, and we kind of fell apart in the ring. We'll work on it though! We got 3rd out of 27 competitors!
Well I'll post pictures of the fair as soon as I get my computer back!
I also put my Parelli Level Pathway DVDs and Parelli Patterns on Ebay, to go to the Parelli Level Pathways DVDs CLICK HERE

I should be adding a couple Bits, a Winter Blanket, a Bareback Pad, and some other stuff that I haven't used in a while and don't think I'll need to use it again.
I'm trying to sell my DVD's so I can get Les Vogts DVDs on Reining. I love his method for teaching the horses! His site is http://www.lesvogt.com/, I highly reccomend checking it out if your interested in showing or just looking for more advanced maneauvors, etc. You can read about Chex A Nic too, :) that's where my saying "Faith in the long shots" comes into play!
