Bellarista is Here!

I have my work cut out for me! :)
Bell is a very sweet, sweet horse, but she is terrified of her new home. Today was my first day working with her and she was completely untrusting. However, she did surprise me with some things she knew, like pick up her feet. She picked them up and offered them to me just by reaching for them and she doesn't pull on the lead rope at all. Even when she's frightend of something, she is so mindful of it. Overall, I think she is going to be a very reliable, sturdy horse. A great childrens or beginners horse once I have some time on her.
Bell has some awsome potential, I'm excited to start really getting into the deep training with her. I didn't get on her today because she was just to untrusting, she was frightened at just about everything I did with her. I did not want to push her to hard the first day, in fact, I doubt I will even try to ride her for about a week maybe a week and a half just to gain her trust and confidence. Prices (the owners before me) said she was great to ride, but what is their definention of "great to ride"?
I have Bell iscolated from the rest of the horses right now, Prices said she might have ear Mites ( yikes!). Not good at all! We bought some drops and I started doctering her today, poor thing! She doesn't tolerate anything being around her ears at all, I think its only because of the painful little Mites, hopefully it will clear up as they go away. If not, I'm sure some time playing with them will fix it. She also has Bot Fly eggs on her legs and belly, and she needs de-wormed.
She will be a gorgeous horse (she already is) once we get her slimmed up a little, health taken care of and get her deeper into training. Lot's of potential waiting to come out! :)
I'll post some more pics of her and the other horses tomorrow. Untill then, bye! :)
